
Wade Fowler is the retired editor of three weekly newspapers based in New Bloomfield, PA — The News-Sun, Perry County Times and Duncannon Record. He worked for daily and weekly newspapers for more than 40 years and is a former president of the Pennsylvania Society of Newspaper Editors.
He has won Keystone Press Awards for investigative reporting, feature series writing and headline writing. His coverage of a funding crisis for Perry County’s public libraries won the prestigious media award from the Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries in 2000.
Fowler is a former vice president of the New Cumberland Public Library Board and is a member of the board of the Robert H. and Beverly Utley Fowler Foundation, which supports 501c charities in Central Pennsylvania.
He is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and is a veteran of the United States Navy.
